During our Fall and Winter Seasons we will be starting our advanced program to compete in the inaugural Club vs Club tournaments.  The tournaments will follow the collegiate/high school format of play. Most tournament fees will be $35 per player.  Torch will cover fees beyond that.  Tryouts will take place for this team.  After that, contact the club by email at admin@torchvolleyball.com for consideration.

Practice Dates

Practices will start the week of 10/24

Players are welcome to join our Monday and Wednesdays practices 5:45 to 7:45.

Fridays practices will be advanced team only and will start at 4:30.

Attendance of one practice each week will be required for this team.

• November 19th - Vero Beach

• December 3rd & 4th - Lines of 5 - Sandstorm run in Vero Beach

• December 10 & 11 - Jacksonville

• December 17 &18 - Vero Beach

• January 14th - Pompano

• January 21 - Port St Lucie - pairs tournament

Tournament Format

First, some terminology...

 Team - contains 1 or more Lines

Lines - contains 3 or 5 pairs

Pair - two players

Dual - competition between two clubs

Flight - competition between pairs

The tournaments will either be lines of 3 pairs or 5 pairs, most are lines of 3.  For tournaments with lines of 3, we will take 2 lines and 1 or 2 alternate pairs.  For tournaments with lines of 5, we will take one line and one alternate pair.

For duals, each club will play the other clubs pairs.  Pair 1 will play pair 1, pair 2 will play pair 2, and so on.  For lines of three, the winning club will need to win two out of the three flights.  For lines of five, the winning club will need to win three out of the five flights.  Alternate flights are non-scoring.
